In The Garden
My process is gestural, intent imbedded in the action of making the marks. These drawings are about the fundamental process of Creation. The drawings embody rather than describe that process as energy, change, movement and metamorphosis. They explore the underneath of Nature, the molecular, the causative, the seeds of Life. The works are iconic, revolving around the interaction of the masculine/yang and the feminine/yin energies and the recording of events and instinctual movements. Each drawing, though autonomous, acts as a component in the piece as a whole encouraging conversation between the elements.
